If you see an error like:

 

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_CLASS in /home/public_html/administrator/components/com_form/bfXML.php on line 48

 

When attempting to install Joomla Forms then you are running PHP4 and the minimum requirements for running Joomla Forms is PHP5+ (We mention this on the buy now page)

unfortunately until you get your web host to upgrade to PHP5.2+ you will not be able to run our components.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT YOU DO NOT IGNORE THIS because the next version of Joomla will be PHP5 only as well - you will soon not be able to upgrade Joomla unless you are running PHP5.2+
